Target toy clearance!

Target is having their twice a year toy clearance! This a big one (the other one happens after Christmas). A lot of toys at my Target were marked down by 75%!! Holy cow! Yes, I bought quite a bit of stuff, luckily I had all five kids with me as I filled FOUR carts! Each of the older kids had to push one! How much was my bill, you ask? Well, I also had school supplies, Clorox wipes, paper towels, baby wipes, a pair of shoes, and a few other things that weren't on sale...sooooo, my total for all four VERY full baskets was $215! Pretty good, I think!

Let me know how you do...I would hurry though. The clearance goes very fast!

I'm in love!

Ok, so the secret is out...I love our grocery store, Publix! Someday, I'm going to work there! They special ordered yogurt for me and drove to another Publix store to get it for me! Love them!

Here was my quick trip today to get the yogurt:

12 boxes of Yoplait Trix yogurt, buy one, get one @ 2.79/2=16.74
9 boxes rice krispies, at 2.05 a box (on sale 1/2 price)=18.45
marshmallows, 2bags=2.78
hummus=3.99
diet coke=4.00
milk=3.85
margarine=.89
TOTAL= 28.15, saved $58.64!

Used a 10 off 40 coupon from whole foods, five $.75 off two yoplait coupons, one $1.00 off 2 coupon for yoplait, 3 coupons for the cereal $2.25 off 3, and one $1.00 off hummus.

I'll also submit for a $10 rebate for the rice krispies which will make each box only 30 cents!!! I see some rice krispies treats in my near future!

I just bought 3 books from living social for $20. In the books are 4 five dollar off a purchase of $30 at Winn Dixie. You can use these at public and they don't expire until 6/2012. That is a total of 12 coupons. You'll basically get 8 coupons free!

Nature's Own bread--$1.00!

Our Dollar Tree carries Nature's Own bread, for, yep, you guessed it...ONE DOLLAR! For those of you nearby, I've seen it at the one on SR13. This bread runs around $2.79 at the grocery store!

School Supply Kits/buying supplies

With three kids going to school next year, I wanted to get the school supply kits for each one to save the time and hassle of shopping for supplies.  But, oh-my-goodness!!!!!  When I priced them, it was going to cost me a little over $300 for all three!!!!!!  YIKES!

So, I've been shopping little by little and trying to hit the sales.  I did buy some items full price at Walmart yesterday though as I'm getting a little tired of dragging all five kids to a ton of stores each week. 

I'm keeping track of my spending, to see if it is worth it.  So far, I'm at $68 and only have about 10 more items to buy.  I'm pretty sure I can easily come in at under $100 for all three kids' supplies.  $200 savings, I'll take it!!!! 

I do know this is a fund-raiser for our school, but there is no way they're making $66 on each kit.  I heard once that they make about $5 a kit.  I'm happy to give them $15.  :)

Just food for thought...

My Publix Trip (7/14/11)

Here was my list:
--10 pkg. of 8 O'Clock coffee (on sale B1G1 and used $2/2 coupons).  Made each pkg. $2.41
--2 Hershey's Chocolate syrup (my kids dunk their apples in it), used a $1/2 Q.  Made it $.70 each
--3 12-pk Diet Coke (my weakness).  $9.98 for all 3, no coupons
--Scotch 5" kids scissors, B1G1 $1.99, used two $1.00 off coupons, FREE
--8 boxes of Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats, on sale B1G1, used 4 $1.00 off Qs and 2 Free product Qs,
       made them $.70 a box
--Bananas $1.91 (used $1.00 Q for produce peelie on Kelloggs cereal)
--Greek Yogurt (Garett's fav), $4.49, used $1.00 Q = $3.49
--Knorr pasta pkt.  $1.34

I think that's it...Anyway, my total was $75.33 after a $10 coupon for Whole Foods which Publix considers a competitor, and a $10 Publix gift card from purchasing Kleenex a while back.  I saved $115.06!!!  Not too bad.

I just did the easy rebate, and it really was super-easy.  You get a number to enter on-line.  That's it...and the check will be here within 90 days! 

$10 off $40 purchase in "Creekside" paper!

If you received the Creekside paper, don't throw it out!  Inside, there is a $10 off $40 purchase at Whole Foods!  The Publix on Racetrack and SR 13 will take Whole Foods coupons!  :)  It doesn't expire until 7/31!!!!
