School Supply Kits/buying supplies

With three kids going to school next year, I wanted to get the school supply kits for each one to save the time and hassle of shopping for supplies.  But, oh-my-goodness!!!!!  When I priced them, it was going to cost me a little over $300 for all three!!!!!!  YIKES!

So, I've been shopping little by little and trying to hit the sales.  I did buy some items full price at Walmart yesterday though as I'm getting a little tired of dragging all five kids to a ton of stores each week. 

I'm keeping track of my spending, to see if it is worth it.  So far, I'm at $68 and only have about 10 more items to buy.  I'm pretty sure I can easily come in at under $100 for all three kids' supplies.  $200 savings, I'll take it!!!! 

I do know this is a fund-raiser for our school, but there is no way they're making $66 on each kit.  I heard once that they make about $5 a kit.  I'm happy to give them $15.  :)
